Local is reserved for Company Drivers only. The driver must report to the Terminal location on a daily basis. The work schedules may involve over-time, irregular shifts and/or weekends. The area of operation is generally limited to a radius of 150 miles from base. As a rule, the driver is not required to be away overnight. Regional means within a radius of 350 miles from Terminal Location. May require border-crossings and/or overnights; Highway means up to 59 North American jurisdictions. Driver is required to accept dispatch orders lasting up to 14 days, before returning to base; may require border-crossings. |

Hourly – applies to Local Company Drivers only.
Flat Rate – means the contract-driver is paid a mileage rate which includes an allocation for overnight accommodation, but the fuel cost is absorbed by Drive Star. Per Mile – means the contract-driver is paid a gross mileage rate which includes allocations for fuel and overnight accommodation. Mileage Rates – are very competitive and within industry standards. They are based on equipment being transported and vary with each and every dispatch. Fuel Surcharges – Dispatches may include fuel subsidies if and when fuel surcharges are billed to the customer. The amounts vary and are adjusted on a regular basis. Travel Subsidies – Dispatches may include travel subsidies and are being provided at the discretion of the carrier. Note: The rate of pay is assigned by the carrier. |

BENEFITS or BONUS |
Benefits – Hourly Company drivers are eligible for paid Stats and Vacations as well as Workman’s Compensation and Health Benefits.
Performance Bonus – Highway Drivers may be eligible for a quarterly mileage bonus of two or three cents/mile, if they exceed either 5,000 or 10,000 miles per month respectively. Safety & Compliance Bonus – Drivers who exceed 80,000 miles during Drive Star’s fiscal year (Nov-Oct), without preventable accidents and without serious driver violations are eligible for a one-cent per mile bonus. |
